About Us
History
The Hershey Camera Club was organized by a few local amateur
photographers who wanted to share their love for the art of photography.
We now have both amateur photographers who come to learn, and
professional photographers who share their knowledge and expertise
with other members.
Community Oriented
The Hershey Camera Club is available for photographic
opportunities in the Hershey and surrounding communities. We
have participated
in Pet Photo Day at the Commerce Bank in Palmyra, at the Hope
Lodge in Hershey to photograph the reunion of cancer survivors,
and the Hershey Gardens to name a few. A model shoot is held
annually in January to help members with studio work and also
to help local models learn posing techniques. We welcome any
photographic opportunity to support our community and to enhance
our skills.
Special Events and Trips
In addition to scheduled meetings, members travel to places
of photographic interest, learn about macro photography, night
shooting, photographing water, modeling, etc. We
have a variety of members specializing in area such as macro
or night photography, travel or nature photography, and they
will offer special workshops on those subjects. We also participate
in slide exchange programs with other clubs from around the world.
